Manchester Derby

Last night was a night for all English Premier League fans. There it was the Manchester Derby and the London Derby between Chelsea v Arsenal. There was the ever present pre match banter from the managers with Sir Alex saying that it was the end of the road for Arsenal for after they had lost 3-0 to Manchester City, they were having too much in-fighting, too much unrest in the team that ultimately would blow away their hopes in closing the gap with the leaders(He didn't even say a thing about the Men in Sky Blue probably written them off already ahaha) Arsene rebuked him by saying that City was a good side and Sir Alex would find out in the derby.

Well honestly, in my opinion Sir Alex purposely did that to rile the whole Arsenal team up so that they would get a result in the Chelsea match which would really benefit United a lot by keeping Chelsea in a near distance. Which was executed well with Van Persie scoring twice though the first goal was questionably off side but nvm~ ahahha

GREAT RESULT!!!

ManC vs ManU
It was a great game. I've always loved derby matches. I can't boast to have the real life experience of one before but it was always a trigger for my heart to pump faster. All the blood and thunder will always keep me glued on the tele. Last season was a bad year derby-wise. United lost both games and all that was about to change.

United conquered the match giving City few chances in between. Rooney scored the decisive goal. The match was all-in-all great but the downside was Ronaldo getting red carded. In my opinion Ronaldo didn't really showed up during the match so it didn't really mess up the play when he was gone. United showed heart and stayed strong till the end of the match. In the match Evra showed his prowess down the left wing beating the City defense time and time again with his speed. It was a great game and I can't wait to see how the season will end.

COME ON YOU REDS!!

Where my passion began..

In the beginning, i was not really an avid football fan. I just played the game just for the sake of playing with friends and I was not concerned at all about the footballing world just me being as the Malay saying goes "seperti katak di bawah tempurung", if literally translated "like a frog underneath a coconut shell" haha. I was not really good at it actually. I can still remember my classmates teased me about how i play the game and the most annoying thing back then was, whenever they pick a team they always leave the goalie position for me. Not because i had a knack of keeping the ball out of the goal and that i had a safe pair of hands but it's just because i was the biggest kid in the team...CEH!!

My football journey got better when my whole family went to Scotland where my mum did her masters. It was 1996 and its a transition period for my life and football, for the better that is. In Scotland is where i began to enjoy the sport. Where I build up my passion. The culture there is totally different from where i was from. For instance i never find myself being forced to be the goalie. The kids there actually wants to be the goalie which for me was great because i wont have to be one again haha. I began to immerse myself fully in the game and on one fateful day, I tune in to a match on the tele. I saw a player with a speed to match the windy day. He blew past defenders with ease. My eyes were glued to his feet, watching, studying his every move. You may wonder who is this player that got my heart beating fast. He is non other then the Welsh Wizard himself, Ryan Giggs. From that day on i was a fan and slowly Manchester United began to pop up in my radar. So you can say that thanks to Giggsy, I began to love Manchester United.

GLORY GLORY MAN UTD!!

I began my football 'career' haha as a defender but due to the influence of a certain number 11, i began to wander further up the pitch and now i actually feel more comfortable playing in an attacking role. My defending suffered as a result of that haha but my goal tally per game increased from 0 to averaging 2 goals per game (not a bad record if i do say so myself haha). Hmmmm but now i don't seem to have time to play football with my friends SIGH~

I WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL!!!!!

Haha well there goes my first official entry. Not that much actually but more will come. I plan to post an entry solely about Giggsy and also another post about Manchester United.
